We are raising funds to purchase bikes for war orphans in Ukraine. On 1st June, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, we wish to give them around 20 bicycles. The campaign's partner is the "Patronage for a Soldier" organization, that takes care of over 200 war orphans. We encourage all cyclists, organizations and groups, to take action.
BIKE HELPS goals
- Helping children from Ukraine
- To draw attention to the problem of war orphans
- Promotion of helping through sport
- The integration of cycling community in Europe
BIKE HELPS in Poland
The essential aspect of the action is to encourage the participants to bike riding. The campaign is followed by events, press conferences, promotion in the media, social media activity and information stands. Kilometres are counted, e.g. on the Endemondo application.
The first edition of the action took place in 2015. Within 4 years we have managed to cover over 70 million kilometres and distribute over 221 bicycles to children from orphanages. The details of the event are available at rowerpomaga.pl.
So far, our action has occurred on the territory of Poland, but we have received lots of notice from cyclists from all over the world who wanted to join us. Hence the idea for the BIKE HELPS project.
